Michael Sorsky — About UK Airports Guide
Practical, honest travel information — written by a frequent flyer, for frequent flyers.
Michael Sorsky
Founder & Editor
UK Airports Guide was created by Michael Sorsky, a British travel writer and frequent flyer who studied Travel and Tourism at university — where his dissertation examined the deregulation of the US airline industry and its lasting impact on how we fly today.
Michael's passion is commercial aviation and airliners. From the economics of route planning to the engineering of the aircraft themselves, he has spent years following the industry closely — and that depth of knowledge informs every guide on this site.
After travelling through virtually every major UK airport, Michael set out to build the resource he always wished existed: a single, clear, no-nonsense guide covering terminals, transport links, parking, facilities, and practical tips for every significant airport in the country. Every page is written from personal experience, with no sponsored rankings and no paid placements — just straightforward information to help you travel with less stress.
